About Architect_Studio Gedye
Based in the Peak District National Park on the edge of Sheffield, Studio Gedye creates great places for people to live and work.
Studio Gedye are architects with a great reputation for outstanding design on projects ranging from new houses, extensions and alterations to barn and chapel conversions. Our work varies in scale from a master plan for a new nature reserve for the RSPB to a 10,000 sq ft of workspace for creative businesses at Sum Studios, a creative hub for business, arts and community in Sheffield. The range of our work includes community centres, schools, housing and historic building.
The practice’s work has been recognised in the RIBA Regional Awards 2014 and the Sheffield Design Awards 2012 & 2014. We were also commended in the Forgotten Spaces competition for Sheffield with Artist Keith Hayman.
Studio director Simon Gedye RIBA has a strong track record of securing planning consent in challenging situations and successfully negotiating permissions for work in sensitive settings and on listed buildings.
The design team are committed to green design and each project is designed to respond to site, orientation and to exploit the use of sustainable technologies.
Outstanding design is our passion. We always exceed our clients’ expectations and go the extra mile to find solutions to brighten their lives.
